At Greenmeadow Community Farm kids and adults can meet real farm animals and learn all about how our food is produced. There are several rare breeds on show alongside common types of sheep, cattle, goats, and pigs.

The fun doesn't stop with seeing the animals at Greenmeadow Farm. There are tractor rides for the young and the young at heart, and a mouth-watering selection of good things to eat in the farm cafe and shop. Local crafts are also on sale. Although Greenmeadow is just minutes from Cwmbran it's still a working farm and has been for more than two centuries. Anyone can learn something on a visit and have a good time too.

These days most of us get our food from supermarkets rather than directly from animals or out of the ground, so a visit to a working farm has a lot to teach both kids and adults alike. Greenmeadow is also a great reminder that South Wales produces some really outstanding food- our meat, fish, shellfish, cheeses, and vegetables are superb, and shoppers don't have to go too far from home to find fresh, healthy local food.

The community farm is not only the perfect place to buy some choice local produce, but also a place that aims to inspire visitors to be aware of where their food comes from and encourage all of us to eat better, healthier, and more sustainable meals.

10.30am - 3.30pm - November to March - (Last admission at 2.30pm)

The Farm is closed from Christmas Eve until 1st February.

Admission charges: We operate a seasonal charging policy for admission to the Farm. Admission prices are as follows: Daily Summer - April to October Adults: £5.20 Child/Concessions: £4.20 Family (2 adults + 3 children): £18.80 Daily Winter - November to March Adults: £4.60 Child/Concessions: £3.60 Family (2 adults + 3 children): £16.40 Yearly Pass Adults: £18.50 Child/Concessions: £14.50 Family (2 adults + 3 children): £65.50

By Car - we are ideally situated, less than 5 miles from the M4. From the M4 take exit 26 heading towards Cwmbran on Malpas Road. From the roundabout at the top of Malpas Road, just follow the brown signs with the white sheep and they will bring you to us! We are delighted to offer you free parking in our on site car park - if it is full, we also have an overflow car park, signposted at the 2nd exit from the roundabout at the main entrance. Bicycles are welcome
