Caldicot Castle & Country Park

Good for Shopping

Visit Caldicot's magnificent medieval castle set in fifty-five acres of beautiful parkland. Although extensively developed as a beautiful Victorian home, the Caldicot Castle was built by the Normans and saw extensive action in the middle ages. Today visitors can get a flavour of the long and rich history of the building, and also enjoy the lovely country park around it.

There are things to do at Caldicot Country Park and inside the castle all year round. Not only are there plenty of everyday activities for the whole family, but a busy program of special events from Halloween ghost tours to astronomy nights. School classes and groups are welcome (please do book in advance) and Caldicot Castle is also a popular wedding venue.

Come on any day and you can enjoy an audio tour, hands-on activities, active fun in the gardens and grounds, and of course the gift shop & tea room.
