1940s Swansea Bay
Good for Shopping
Experience the sights & sounds of life during WWII! Swansea Bay's 1940s recreation is the next best thing to actually being there and living through this fascinating period in British history. It's not just about the war- that is just one aspect of this attraction, just as it was only one aspect of the decade. The 40s was also a period of tremendous social change.
Whether you lived through the 1940s yourself or want to find out about more about how your parents and grandparents fared during this difficult but interesting time, a trip to Swansea Bay is a must.
The whole family can have fun at the 1940s Swansea Bay exhibit. There are clothes and uniforms to try on, a typical 40s street scene, shop, and cafe. Special events are held regularly so be sure to check the website before planning a visit.
