Good for Museums & Art Galleries

Voted the best science centre in Europe, Techniquest houses over 120 interactive hands on exhibits. Suitable for all ages, visitors can fire a rocket, launch a hot air balloon, play a tune on a giant piano and much more. Audience participation is encouraged in the science theatre which hosts live shows and the mysteries of space are uncovered in the Planetarium.

Opening hours: Monday to Friday, 9.30am - 4.30pm. Saturday, Sunday and Bank Holidays, 10.30am - 5.00pm. School Holidays, 9.30am - 5.00pm.

Admission charges: Adults - £6.90; Children/concessions/OAPs - £4.80; Family (max 2 adults and 3 children) - £20. Prices subject to change.

By road:

Cardiff Bay Waterfront is 5 minutes from the City Centre. From the M4, exit at Junction 33, and follow the A4232 for 10 minutes

Public transport:

A direct train runs frequently to Cardiff Bay, via Queen Street Station. Cardiff Buses Local bus services. No.1, 2, 8 and 35 travel to Cardiff Bay, as well as the BayXpress bus service.
