Opening hours: Big Pit is open daily 9.30am - 5pm. Underground tours run frequently 10am - 3.30pm. Please call for December and January opening times.

Admission charges: FREE for All! Please note that Children must be one metre tall to go underground

Getting here

By road:

M4 - follow the brown signs from J25a (westbound) or J26 (eastbound). Also signposted off A465 at Brynmawr and Abergavenny.

Parking:

Ample FREE parking available. Disabled parking on all levels. Coach parking for up to 12 spaces.

Public transport:

By bus, March 1st - November 30th. X30 Bus from Newport Bus Station, every two hours, Monday - Saturday.

By rail, the nearest train station is Abergavenny. An onward journey is required by bus or taxi.
