Cyfarthfa Castle Museum & Art Gallery
Good for Groups
Cyfarthfa Castle is amongst the most thought-provoking of all Valleys attractions. Formerly home to ironmaster William Crawshay, Cyfarthfa is now a place where both sides of history can be examined.
The luxury enjoyed by the Crawshay family is still very much in evidence but the ironworkers are far from forgotten. Happily anyone can now roam through Cyfarthfa Park. Admission is free.
There is plenty to explore at Cyfarthfa Castle and Park, both indoors and out. The extensive gardens make a lovely spot for a gentle walk on a sunny day, but when it's raining there's enough to keep all the family amused inside. The tea shop is excellent in any weather.
