Techniquest Science Discovery Centre

Good for Food & Drink

Techniquest is right in Cardiff Bay, where there is plenty to see and do, but it remains one of the most popular family days out in South Wales.

There are two aims- fun and education- and they go hand in hand at this outstanding science museum. Techiquest contains more than 120 interactive exhibits and a planetarium, all designed to capture the hearts and minds of kids of all ages.

A visit to Techniquest is the ideal way to get kids interested in science or just pass a rainy Saturday in South Wales. It's indoor fun with real educational value, perfect for school holidays or just weekends.

Naturally, groups are also welcome at Techniquest. Anyone interesting in arranging an outing for a school class, a scout troop, or a birthday party should get in touch with the management.

Once you've finished with the science, the Discovery Centre is located right in the heart of Cardiff Bay, so there are plenty of choices when it comes to lunches, dinners, icecreams, and all kinds of other entertainment. Walk in one direction and visitors can feed the birds in the wetland reserve, and in the other, there are all the attractions of Mermaid Quay.
