Good for Arts & Crafts
Based at the former Lewis Merthyr Colliery, Rhondda Heritage Park offers a fascinating insight into the rich culture and character of the Rhondda Valleys, in an unique entertaining and educational environment for all ages. There is an underground experience, multi-media presentations, period village street, 'Level One' contemporary art gallery, cafe, plus much more.
Rhondda Heritate Park is a celebration of the proud history of the Valleys and also a showcase of what the region can offer today. It's one of the best places for visitors to find out about the what the Valleys was like in the past and catch a glimpse of the bright future it could have.
For locals, it's a favourite place to go for walks or let the kids play. It's very easy to find- the old Winding House is just as much of a landmark as it was in its heyday- and a very short walk from Trehafod train station.
